Why Send Reminders?

Impact on Response Rates

Reminders can significantly increase completion:

  • First reminder: +15-25% more responses
  • Second reminder: +5-10% additional
  • Third reminder: +3-5% additional

Best Timing

  • First Reminder: 3-4 days after initial send
  • Second Reminder: 5-7 days after first reminder
  • Final Reminder: 2-3 days before survey closes

Setting Up Automated Reminders

Creating a Reminder Schedule

  1. Go to your survey’s Collect tab
  2. Select your email collector
  3. Click the Reminders tab
  4. Click Create Reminder

Reminder Settings

Configure each reminder:

Timing:

  • Days after previous message
  • Specific date and time
  • Time zone

Recipients:

  • Non-respondents only (default)
  • Started but not completed
  • Specific contact groups

Message:

  • Custom subject line
  • Custom email body
  • Use different messaging than original

Multiple Reminders

Add up to 5 automated reminders:

  1. Click Add Another Reminder
  2. Set interval from previous
  3. Customize each message
  4. Review full schedule

Enabling/Disabling

  • Toggle individual reminders on/off
  • Pause all reminders temporarily
  • Cancel scheduled reminders

Sending a One-Off Reminder

Send immediately to non-respondents:

  1. Go to Collect > Email Collector
  2. Click Send Reminder
  3. Select recipients
  4. Compose message
  5. Send immediately or schedule

Targeting Specific Recipients

Filter recipients for your reminder:

  • All non-respondents
  • Opened but didn’t start
  • Started but didn’t complete
  • Specific contacts by name
  • By contact group

Crafting Effective Reminders

Subject Lines

Change subject lines for each reminder:

First Reminder:

  • “Reminder: We’d love your feedback”
  • “Just checking in - survey still open”

Second Reminder:

  • “Last chance to share your thoughts”
  • “Survey closing soon”

Final Reminder:

  • “Final reminder: Survey closes tomorrow”

Use merge fields for personal touch:

Reminder Best Practices

Frequency

Don’t over-remind:

  • Limit to 2-3 reminders maximum
  • Wait at least 3 days between
